Political dialogue is essential to political communities, just as oxygen and food is to our living.
We are constantly seeking new ways of creating relationships that reflect mutual respect and reciprocation. Through dialogue, we aim to build a world where peoples’ thoughts will be welcome by one and other. This will help to nurture an environment that enhances creativity and new ideas. We want our actions to speak for themselves, encourage unity in diversity, especially during times of conflict.
This is easier said than done. But, where do we start?
Sometimes we don’t have to go far. We can start in our place of work – offices, city councils, parliaments, schools etc. Let this political dialogue be our chance to extend the fraternity of politics both theoretically and in practice. This can be done by introducing new legislative and governmental initiatives, and encouraging participation.
To achieve this, it’s imperative, research institutions should work alongside other associations and global bodies to achieve the ultimate goal of universal brotherhood.
