After three years of ongoing negotiations and the day after Pope Francis’ departure from Havana, the capital of Cuba, the Columbia president Juan Manuel Santos and the leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia- People’s Army (FARC), Rodrigo Londoño, with an international consensus of more than 80 countries and numerous multi-lateral organizations has announced an agreement for peace and an end to armed internal conflict in Columbia which has existed for 50 years at the end of the negotiations.
