1. Introduction

1.1. Protection of personal data and social responsibility

The Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) recognizes the importance of the right to the processing of personal data of its members and of those with whom they relate, being aware that the right to the processing of personal data is a fundamental right of the person.

In this perspective, which is in line with a firm adherence to high standards of Social Responsibility, the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) intends to set out in a transparent manner the purposes and modalities with which the processing of personal data is made,  showing itself also available to collaborate with Owners and users of the Internet site (www.mppu.org), as identified below, to put in place, if required, the useful or necessary operations to update, correct or delete personal data that should be treated by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU), in accordance with current legislation and the specific needs of those concerned.

Therefore, the following information is reported, to be intended as provided also for the purpose of issuing the information pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (so-called “Code regarding the protection of personal data”). This information is provided, in addition to being in reference with the aforementioned Code, also in compliance with Recommendation 2/2001 concerning the minimum requirements for online data collection in the European Union, issued by the Working Group pursuant to art. 29 of Dir. 96/46 / EC.

1.2. The Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU)  website (www.mppu.org)

It should be noted in advance that, in this statement, any reference to the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) website must be understood as being made to the following site: www.mppu.org, with the warning that any other site referred to verbatim or to which one or more links in hypertextual or other forms, does not belong to the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU), unless otherwise expressly indicated, and, therefore, cannot be traced to the processing of personal data in the ownership of the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU).

2. Purposes of data processing

2.1. Information and contacts

The Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU), through its internet site www.mppu.org, pursues informational purposes relating to the conduct of its association activity and the relations between it and the Focolare Movement (PAFOM), of which it is part. The aforementioned information (also regarding the description of the services offered) is flanked by the indication of the addresses of the Secretariat of the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU), so that it can be reached by those who relate or want to relate with the aforementioned Association (including Adherents, potential Adherents, Suppliers, Employees, etc.) with technological or traditional tools.

With regard to potential Adherents and to Adherents, the contact details and information on the Internet site www.mppu.org of the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) are made available to them to know, evaluate and possibly to join the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) or to have constant contact relationship in order to achieve a more efficient performance of services, with a rise in customer satisfaction levels.

The contact details and information on the website are also made available to suppliers or internal and external collaborators, in order to improve the network of contacts and the efficiency of contacts.

Further aims also concern the improvement of the efficiency of the Internet site, by indicating the e-mail address of the webmaster, among the contacts, to which it is possible to address, voluntarily and optionally, specific communications pertaining to the functionality and presence of the contents of the site itself.

2.2. Data known by interested party

Through the indication of the addresses made available to the Members and/or Users, including the e-mail address, the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) may become aware of the personal data sent by Them. Please note that for these data, which are already known to the person who gives them, there is in any case the exemption provided for by art. 13, co. 2, incidentally, of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003.

2.3. Data not supported by the express consent of the interested party

If the personal data provided should contain sensitive and/or judicial data and the written consent to the processing is not present, the aforementioned data will be deleted and/or destroyed by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU).

The Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) will be able to process the personal data of the interested parties, even without expressly manifested consent, for the hypotheses provided for by the current legislation, which will be verified in relation to the specific case, such as, for example, in the hypothesis in which the treatment is necessary to comply with legal obligations, regulations or Community legislation, or it is necessary to fulfill obligations arising from a contract of which the party is involved or to fulfill specific requests that the party is subject to during the pre-contractual phase, or in the further cases referred to in ‘art. 24 Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 and in the other applicable regulatory provisions. The Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) also reserves the right to delete data relating to third parties for which the necessary consent has not been given in writing, if requested.

2.4. Purposes excluded

In any case, unless otherwise expressed by the interested party, the personal data collected directly by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) and for which the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) is the data controller are not used for marketing purposes, to define the profiles or personalities of the interested, for sending advertising or direct sales material, or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.

3. Purposes and methods of data processing in relation to certain types of processing

3.1. Curricula

The Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) does not intend to acquire, through the addresses indicated on its website, any curriculum, unless it has been expressly requested.

Therefore, where the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU), through the contact details displayed on the Internet site www.mppu.org, should nevertheless receive from anyone, spontaneously, curricula containing data of the same subjects or third parties, the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) will delete them and/or destroy them.

Whenever the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) considers it necessary to request curricula for collaborations or for assumptions, for a fixed term or for an indefinite period, it will provide, in an appropriate section of its Internet site or according to the various methods it deems most appropriate, to explicitly indicate the requests in relation to specific and explicit professional profiles, with communication of the necessary prior informative.

4. Methods of data processing

4.1. Tools and supports for data processing

The data processing is carried out with computerized and telematic systems and with electronic tools.

The processing is carried out in part on special servers owned by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) or, possibly, by another server firm. In the latter case, the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU), by virtue of a specific contract, still has the exclusive legal availability of the server or servers used, without any communication of the data to the company providing the service, which remains in any case contractually held with the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) to adopt suitable and updated security and protection measures, both physical and logical, on the servers used by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU).

The processing of data is also carried out with IT and telematic systems at the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) site or, in any case, with IT tools owned by the same or, where necessary, by data processing officers, in compliance with the security measures. required by current legislation and, in any case, those given by the data controller.

The processing of data may also take place with non-electronic means, including the use of paper support.

4.2. Treatment operations

The processing operations may consist of one or more operations concerning the collection of data, their registration, organization, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication (as specified in the following paragraph 4.3), cancellation and destruction, even regardless of their registration in a database.

4.3. Data communication

Personal data collected by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) or of which the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) should become aware in carrying out its activities may be communicated to (or may be object of knowledge of) persons in charge and/or data processors, in relation to specific skills and functions, in order to satisfy the aforementioned purposes or to implement regulatory and/or contractual obligations.

Normally the data are not communicated to or brought to the knowledge of other data controllers, unless this is not necessary in compliance with regulatory or contractual provisions or to fulfill specific obligations. In this case, the aforementioned data may, in particular, be brought to the attention of the following subjects or of the following categories of subjects, to the extent that this is necessary for the fulfillment of the regulatory and / or contractual obligations: a) of consultants or collaborators, internal and / or external, for the respect of the current legislation and / or for the performance of contractual services in the relations with the individuals involved (labor consultants, legal consultants, accountants, tax consultants, auditors); b) of the Focolare Movement (P.A.M.O.M. – P.A.F.O.M.) (www.focolare.org), of which the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) is a member.

4.4. Data dissemination

In any case, personal data will not be disseminated, unless expressly requested by the interested party, possibly also in execution of specific contractual provisions with the interested party. In such cases, the scope of data diffusion remains contained within the limits of the request of the interested party or of the contractual agreements entered into.

It is possible, however, that the navigation data of the site only be disseminated, but in this case the dissemination of data will take place in an aggregate and anonymous form, in order to carry out statistical surveys regarding the consultation of the Internet site www.mppu.org owned by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) or part of it.

4.5. Navigation data

The consultation of the Internet site www.mppu.org owned by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) may result in automatic processing of the User’s browsing data for the sole purpose of making the consultation itself technically possible, as well as checking and ensuring its correct functioning in relation to the hardware and software tools used. Although the processing of the aforementioned data is not carried out to identify who browses on the website specified above, there is the possibility that the User’s identity can also be traced, if such data are associated with other data provided to the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) or third parties.

Among the navigation data, the following can be treated: IP numbers of the instruments used by the User; access numbers; displayed pages; access and connection times; browsing browser; operating system used by the User; URL visited before accessing the Internet site www.mppu.org owned by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU); numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user’s IT environment.

These data will not be used except for the purposes specified above, including that of any monitoring in an anonymous form for statistical purposes.

Should the aforementioned information be used for statistical purposes, the data relating to the User will be processed in an aggregate and anonymous form, in order to preserve a high level of protection of the data subjects (see paragraph 4.4, last sentence).

The navigation data could be used, where necessary, for the ascertainment of responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

4.6. Cookies

Refer to the appropriate cookie policy.

4.7. Email

If e-mail communication is sent to the e-mail addresses on the Internet site www.mppu.org owned by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU), automatic data acquisition will be obtained regarding the e-mail addresses contained in the message, as well as any other personal data included in the communication itself.

Data relating to e-mail addresses are also processed in order to prepare any replies.

4.8. Restricted area

On the www.mppu.org website owned by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) there is also a special reserved area, whose access, by entering an identification code and a password, allows the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) and data processors to carry out the necessary operations to provide and manage the services and to manage and maintain the entire IT and telematic system.

Access to the reserved area is also allowed to Members who have previously obtained specific personal authentication credentials, in order to access the services requested by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) and provided by the latter.

By accessing the reserved area, the system can collect and process information regarding the times and methods of access and the operations performed. In this case the treatment is aimed exclusively at managing the service offered and maintaining the system’s security levels.

5. Nature of the contribution

The provision of personal data of the interested party is optional, except in cases where, in the presence of a form, the field related to the insertion of data is marked with an asterisk. In these cases the conferment of the data is to be considered mandatory.

The automatic processing of navigation data, of data relating to access and permanence in the reserved area and of data of a contractual nature is also mandatory.

6. Consequences of any refusal

Failure to provide the optional data does not prejudice in any case the performance of the services requested to the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU).

Where the provision of data is to be considered mandatory, in relation to the provisions of paragraph 5, the failure to provide the same, or consent to the processing, may determine the impossibility, by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) to provide the service or provide the requested performance or reply.

7. Rights of the interested party

The interested parties, to whom the personal data processed by the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU) refer, enjoy the rights referred to in art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/03 (“Code regarding the protection of personal data”), and in particular, have the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or not of personal data concerning them, even if not yet registered, and their communication in intelligible form.

They also have the right to obtain information concerning the origin of the aforementioned data, the purposes and methods of processing, the logic of processing, the identification details of the data controller and of the person in charge, the subjects or categories of subjects to whom data can be communicated. They also have the right to obtain updating, rectification and integration, where there is an interest. They also have the right to verify their accuracy, as well as to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, and to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their processing.

The requests can be forwarded to New Humanity, as better specified in the following paragraph 8.

8. Holder and manager of the treatment. Feedback to the interested party

8.1. Ownership of the treatment

As the Politics for Unity Movement (MPPU)  is configured as a political section of the International New Humanity Association (in operational interdependence), the holder of the processing of personal data is New Humanity, with a registered office in Via Piave 15, (00046) Grottaferrata (Rome) Italy.

8.2. Provision of the reply to the requests of the interested party and contact details

Furthermore, New Humanity performs functions as data controller, also for the purposes of the reply to be provided to the data subject for the exercise of the rights referred to in art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/03 (“Code regarding the protection of personal data”).

New Humanity can therefore be contacted for any request, clarification or feedback on the application of the legislation on the protection of personal data and for the concrete exercise of the rights of the data subject, better indicated in paragraph 7 above, even if it is necessary to update, modify, integrate, correct and/or delete data, as required by the regulations or in relation to the assessment of specific needs explicitly envisaged by the interested party.
